Terms of Service
Last updated: June 1, 2025
1. Service Agreement
By scheduling a repair with TrueFix Boston ("TrueFix," "we," "us"), you agree to these terms. We provide residential and commercial appliance repair services across our published Greater Boston service area.
2. Appointments and Scheduling
- Appointment windows are estimates. We will call you 30 minutes before arrival.
- Please have an adult (18+) present during the service visit.
- Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or rearrange.
- No-shows (technician arrives, no one home) may still be billed for the visit.
3. Pricing and Payment
- All pricing is provided upfront before any repair work begins.
- Payment is due upon completion of service.
- We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and Zelle.
- Prices shown online are estimates. Final pricing depends on diagnosis and parts required.
4. Warranty
- Warranty on completed repairs per the terms published on our contact page. The warranty covers the repair performed rather than the whole appliance.
- Warranty covers the specific repair performed. It does not cover new or unrelated failures.
- Warranty is void if the appliance is tampered with by a third party after our repair.
- Parts are sourced as OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or equivalent quality aftermarket.
5. Limitations of Liability
Our liability for any repair is limited to the cost of that repair. We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage or wear unrelated to the repair
- Food spoilage or loss resulting from appliance failure
- Consequential or incidental damages
- Appliances that are deemed beyond economical repair
6. Parts and Availability
We carry common parts for major appliance brands. If a part needs to be ordered, we will quote the lead time at the diagnosis rather than after you have committed. Parts availability may extend repair timelines, and we cannot guarantee completion on the first visit.
7. Service Area
We serve Greater Boston and the North Shore — Suffolk, Middlesex, Norfolk and Essex counties. That covers the City of Boston and its neighbourhoods, together with Chelsea, Revere and Winthrop; Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, Malden, Everett, Arlington, Belmont, Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Weston, Lexington, Winchester, Melrose, Stoneham, Wilmington, Woburn, Burlington, Reading, Wakefield and North Reading; Brookline, Quincy, Milton, Dedham, Needham, Wellesley, Norwood, Dover, Canton, Westwood, Braintree and Randolph; and Lynn, Saugus, Swampscott, Nahant, Marblehead, Salem, Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, Lynnfield, Gloucester, Rockport, Ipswich, Hamilton, Essex, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Wenham, Rowley, Boxford and Middleton. The service areas page lists every ZIP code we cover; addresses outside that list are not served.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
